?? Oh hi there, it’s ME – [your name]! Figured it would be a good time to pop in and tell you a little bit about myself.

I’m guessing you probably already know I am a real estate agent since you’re following along here. But in case you didn’t know, now you do! ?

Four of my favorite things to do, besides sell real estate are:
✨ THING #1
Share why you love THING #1.
✨ THING #2
Share why you love THING #2.
✨ THING #3
Share why you love THING #3.
✨ THING #4
Share why you love THING #4.

I started this corner of the internet to share my favorite things about real estate (and my life) to help buyers, sellers, renters, and pretty much anyone that lives in a home or apartment. You’ll find monthly maintenance tips, some of my favorite products, tips for buying/selling, and local happenings.

I would love to hear how you found me, so drop a comment below and introduce yourself! Glad you’re here and hope you stick around!

Happy #NationalTriviaDay!

Here’s a fun real estate fact you may not have heard of. ?

If you think that Amazon is the pioneer of purchase-and-ship products, you’re forgetting about the mail-order catalog giant Sears & Roebuck of the early 20th century.

These homes would be delivered to your address in the form of materials, instructions, and sometimes even tools. Sears bragged that, “Any man of reasonable strength, size, and intelligence can assemble a Sears & Roebuck home.”

S&R sold approximately 75,000 of these kits! The best part? Some of them can still be purchased in the resale market!

Do you think your family would have purchased one of these back in the day?

When you start looking at houses, how do you keep track of what you love about each property?

? Do you keep it all in your head? Do you write it down on pen and paper?

When you hire me to represent you, I’ll share with you a house hunting checklist that you can use to easily identify what you like and don’t like in the homes we tour.

That way you can refer back to your notes later before making any offers and if nothing matches your criteria, we will continue our search.

When it comes to buying your home, purchasing during the right time can save you thousands of dollars. But buying your dream home is not just about purchasing at a particular time of year.

There are many factors involved depending on your personal situation. As your agent, I always walk my clients through the pros and cons of purchasing or selling in the current market.

? If you don’t have a designated plant watering day (like me…), here is a tip to easily water your plants without worrying about forgetting them:

This is mainly for those little small plants that you tend to forget about.

Grab some ice and add a once ice cube to each of your small plants. It will melt overtime and easily get absorbed by the plant. Typically it’s enough water for the little guys! You can add another ice cube if needed.

For the bigger guys, I like to fill up a water bottle or cup and take it around the house, especially if you can’t bring them all to the sink!

CLEANING TIP:

Don’t forget to clean your dishwasher! For those of us making the most of our dishwashers, it’s super important to clean them out every once in while.

To Clean:
①Pour 1 cup of vinegar in a dishwasher safe glass and set it inside the top rack of your dishwasher.
②Run it on the normal cycle.
③ Remove glass and sprinkle baking soda inside the bottom of the dishwasher.
④Run it again on the HOTTEST cycle.

Alright, who’s cleaning their dishwasher, now? ?

? Virtual home buying is on the rise, especially with the pandemic that hit last March. While the process isn’t new, it’s become more common during the past 9 months.

It is a pretty simple process when it comes to buying a house virtually – from the showings to signing paperwork, here’s an overview of what it looks like.

If you’re in the market to buy a home, let’s talk about your options.

Books on the coffee table – yes or no?

I like to keep it classic with a few hardcover books with beautiful photography inside. Sometimes a notebook is nice to jot down ideas, but keeping it the least amount of cluttered, is ideal!

?You know that feeling when you are walking down the aisles of Target just waiting for something to catch your eye and then when you grab it and see the price tag, you second guess yourself and wonder if 1) you want to spend that much 2) it’s worth your time?

It’s not as easy as going in with a list and budget that you need to stick within for a smooth trip.

?Buying a house is similar – but obviously a much bigger purchase. That’s why I ensure all buyers that work with me are PRE-APPROVED.

This means that when we start looking at homes online or in-person, we know EXACTLY what is in your budget (a loan amount that you are pre-approved for) as well as any criteria you are looking for in a house (# of bedrooms, single-family, near a landmark, etc).

?Ready to get pre-approved? Send me a message and I can connect you with my preferred lenders.

What are closing costs?

You’ll hear closing costs on TWO ends of the home buying process. One will refer to the closing costs associated with the offer on your home, the other will refer to the closing costs associated with getting a loan on that home.

Don’t mix the two up and ensure you have enough to cover ALL of your closing costs!
